Circle Skirt

1st Circle Skirt.  Of course, cut your material, mine happened to be an antique bed sheet.

Isn't she a beauty?!

Two completed skirts, top one is mine and bottom when is my dear friend Candy's... Made from a gorgeous material she fell in love with at Walmart.  😍

Candy also made a matching one for her sweet daughter Amelia...
And here we all are wearing ours.

Mermaid Birthday Headbands

Just a little last minute birthday preparation... We asked Jessica, Eleonora and Anna Kate to come over for a walk the other day... We went on a really nice walk that day, 70 degree weather, and we decided to head to Jessica's after that to craft some adorable headbands for Eleanor's birthday party the next day...

The walk. 🌫 (Jess was in charge of the children while I was in charge of our dog.)  πŸ˜‰

Our headband supplies...  (and of course my coffee!)

Jess in action!

Coming along...

All done!

Look at our Little Cuties in them!
Anna Kate joins in, with a couple of boys...

Game time!

Oh, and this is just another little craft I was working on while we were doing the headbands, a new Spring 'wreath' for my front door!  πŸ€“

Happy Monday!!!

A Weekend of Sewing

So, a good friend of mine told me last Tuesday that she wanted to learn how to sew, 'sew' we made it happen this weekend!

What started out as a little baby sitting/sleepover ended up being a weekend of sewing, wine sipping, and an all-around great weekend full of fun and fueled by coffee!  :)  Let's just say it was much needed in so many ways!!  I thank God for good friends, with similarities that I have, who I can relate with!  What a blessing!!  πŸ’—

'Sew'... Here are some fun Snippets from our weekend!...

Mrs. Candy and little Amelia on their way to the Cinderella play.

They had a Ball of a time!  And don't they just look pretty?!

While I kept the other two that evening, we just watched a movie, had popcorn and they went straight to bed!  Such sweet little one's!!

That night, once the girls got back, us three decided to stay up and do our toenails, then once Amelia went to bed, Candy and I had a good evening of important girl, accountability, best of friends, most definitely needed conversations accompanied by wine!!  πŸ₯‚

The next morning, we started off with a few cups of coffee, a delicious breakfast and got started sewing on Candy's amazingly gorgeous double sided apron...
Ironing.

Cutting pattern.

First stitches for Candy - sewing on a pocket.

Happy new seamstress!

Finished product.

I mean, look at that detail and so professional!!

Other side.  😁

And the next day, we had a yummy breakfast of toasted super healthy nutty bread with Amish butter and eggs with cheese, fruits and more coffee!!  Then right after that, we got started on a couple of pillowcase nightgowns...

Sewing machine broke on us, but luckily it was toward the end...

Taking it apart, trying to figure it out.

The final discovery, broken Check Spring.

Aren't they just so cute?!

 Pretty little homemade pillowcase gowns...

Here, I asked Evelyn to turn her back to me so I could get a picture of the back flower as well as the one on the front and this is the look she gave me!  Then, David jumped right in there for a quick little pose!  🀣  Love them!!

Amelia jumped in after that to show us her stuff too, and it just cracked Evelyn up so much here!  πŸ˜‚

And then, wouldn't you know it, the kids snuck outside to go to the trampoline so we decided to let them jump.  Then on their way back through, they got into a muddy puddle and had themselves a good ol' time!!

The Gown is still in the process of being washed, and uncertain of whether or not it will all come out at this point...  πŸ˜₯

But I mean, weren't they just so cute?!  You can't take back those precious memories that they were having, enjoying their time together and of course, all kids should have the opportunity of jumping in mud puddles at one point or so in their life!! πŸ˜†

Happy Monday friends!!

Raising Butterflies

Raising Butterflies:

Way back in the Spring, we ordered some butterfly larvae to care for and help raise into "butterflilets".  Evelyn sure grew attatched to those little bugs.

She grew very close to her little "buddies"...  A few tears were shed when it was time to let them go, but for the most part, she was happy to let them "live free and in the wild"!

A day with 3 Kids

So yesterday, I kept a friend of mine's kids.  I had to be at her house at 7 a.m. to get her two kiddos ready for the day.  Once I got them dressed and fed them breakfast,  we headed out the door to take their oldest, Amelia to school.
Then I brought David their son to our house to play with Evelyn.  He is 2 months younger than Evelyn and I really didn't know how the day would go, but it was great!  :)   He and Evelyn played so well together and sometimes they would even go off, each on their own and do their own thing.

Snack and The Dinosaur Train.

Blanket and stuffed animals for nap (none of those things were even important for the nap, as not a single one even made it there.)

Waking up from nap.

Then I had to load them up to go and pick Amelia up from school at 3.  Once we got her, we went over to the park to feed the ducks.  They all liked it quite well, except for the occasional duck or goose coming a little too close for comfort!  ;)

I had all three of them until a little after 8, so they even got to have a bath together before I took the two others home.

Clean babies.

A little band music before taking them home.  :)

A good time was had by all!
