A day with 3 Kids

So yesterday, I kept a friend of mine's kids.  I had to be at her house at 7 a.m. to get her two kiddos ready for the day.  Once I got them dressed and fed them breakfast,  we headed out the door to take their oldest, Amelia to school.
Then I brought David their son to our house to play with Evelyn.  He is 2 months younger than Evelyn and I really didn't know how the day would go, but it was great!  :)   He and Evelyn played so well together and sometimes they would even go off, each on their own and do their own thing.

Snack and The Dinosaur Train.

Blanket and stuffed animals for nap (none of those things were even important for the nap, as not a single one even made it there.)

Waking up from nap.

Then I had to load them up to go and pick Amelia up from school at 3.  Once we got her, we went over to the park to feed the ducks.  They all liked it quite well, except for the occasional duck or goose coming a little too close for comfort!  ;)

I had all three of them until a little after 8, so they even got to have a bath together before I took the two others home.

Clean babies.

A little band music before taking them home.  :)

A good time was had by all!

West Virginia Fun

A couple weekends ago, we went back to West Virginia because we knew it would be our last chance of the year!  As many of you know, we love that place!!  :^)

Andy went with his cousin Aaron and his fiancé Lauren to a West Virginia Mountaineers game, the first one of the season, and they won!

Evelyn and I were quite busy while we were there as well... We went to our first (or rather her first) High School football game and she loved it!!  Especially the cheerleaders and the band!  (But most especially, her third cousin Lacey!  ;)

We barely made it to half-time, as she was rolling around on the bleachers, ready for bed...  but I must say, it was a really good time!

The next night, we drove 2 hours to watch Lacey run a Cross Country race... We didn't get home until quarter til 1 that night!  I must say that Evelyn did great, considering all of the running around and being so off of our normal schedule!

She had to hold on to her basket of goodies there for a while, while she oftenly <not a word) munched on popcorn.  ;)

Then finally on the last day when Andy came home,  Aaron and Lauren came back as well!  We had a grand time with them!   Super fun and sweet family.   One of our faves!   ;)

Buddies and Random

These two friends love to play on this piano and sing together!  This was the first time they did on the day Jessica and I were canning salsa...  Today I didn't capture any pictures, but they were doing it again as we canned tomatoes.

Ev teaching Eleo how to read music!  ;)

Two buddies just playing and singing together...

And here's a video of the two...

Another day, Jessica and I went walking with our girls and fed the ducks at the Walking Track.  Then towards the end of it, we spotted some deer in the woods just in the center of our walking Track.  We even got a glimpse of a Buck!

And there he is!  So cool to see one in person! Usually we only see doe and fawns 'round here.

Shopping at Walmart and Evelyn had $5 to spend from Nana...  So, she decides to get a watch!  All chosen and paid for on her own!  :)

Peppa the Pig.

Our Craft Night group of mothers and toddler children went to the splash pad last Monday.  Then enjoyed a nice picnic and play in the park afterwards.
Baby Sophie was a big hit for Evelyn and Eleonora!

From one face...

To the other...

Sprinkler play plus a homegrown pepper = Happiness!!  :^)

Signs

A few signs I just finished...

Rhea County Fair 2016

So, since my good friends have already posted about their Rhea County Fair adventures, I figured I'd better hop on the bandwagon and tell you all about our experience...

Just a little tractor ridin'!  ;)

Getting ready for a little face painting...

Ain't she cute!

I love this Selfie!...  As we were watching some calves being judged.
I would love for Evelyn to be able to do this!  We would just need to move a bit more to the country with more land!  ;)  {dreaming...}

I talked to Jessica about maybe entering some of our canned goods next year... But this overwhelming amount of home canned foods makes me a little bit hesitant now!  Ha!  Who would have known there would be this many?!?  But I am glad to know there are still lots of women who enjoy to can as Jess and I do!

A fun little couch made out of hay bales, blankets and pillows just outside the building with the judged crafts, canned goods and cupcakes in it.

Evelyn went on her first horse ride... Or in this case, mule ride...  Thanks to this nice boy who gave her a free lift on his trusty steed!  :)

Here are some fun little houses that somebody made in a children's play area.

A little petting zoo... But really there weren't any animals you could actually pet, just look at.  Evelyn still loved it though!

She also got to milk a cow. Well, a wooden one anyhow!  :P

We look forward to checking it out again next year!
